Job Summary
Responsible for profitably growing sales to achieve yearly goals as a sales consultant for emerging industries and markets to include prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers. This position requires operation of a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Manages sales volume with an existing group of customers and prospect new accounts to expand the customer base.
  • Develops and implements plans to expand business presence in assigned area.
  • Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers on all levels of the organization.
  • Attends monthly business meetings for company sponsored associations. Participates in all local trade shows, and, if required, similar regional / national activities.
  • Ability to travel both local and out of town.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in both domestic and international logistics sales.
  • Ability to travel both local and out of town.

Job Summary

Responsible for booking LTL moves (Custom Portal), TL moves (Dry Van, FB & Reefer), specialty TL (OD, Liquid & Dry Bulk), track & trace loads utilizing our proprietary software, source new carriers and negotiate rates with both vendors & customers, handle customer service issues with vendors & customers and work with accounting to clarify billing discrepancies (both A/R & A/P).

  • Customer service and cargo tracking
  • FCL and LCL import and export ocean
  • General import and export customs procedures
  • Arranging overseas shipments with partner international agents
  • RORO and Break Bulk Experience
  • Terminal operations experience
  • Rate gathering and quotations to agents and customers
  • General shipment accounting
  • US Domestic land transport
  • Rate negotiations with all types of vendors
  • General export packing and crating
  • Shipping Documentation
  • Air Freight experience (not required, but very helpful)

Education and Experience

  • Highly skilled at customer service
  • 5 years of international freight forwarding experience
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • Must write and speak in a professional manner
  • Spanish Speaking (not required, but very helpful)
  • Able to work within MS Window applications (outlook, excel, word, PPT ect
  • Work in operations software called Magaya
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven industry
